WEBSITE OVERHAUL EXPLAINED

Public Website

Designed for those who wish to start, or already activiely participate in AAC Events; i.e. Agility Trials.  

Main functionalities 

  • AAC RULES: Find all AAC Rules, Regulations and Guidelines.
  • SERVICES: Register a Dog (or Junior Handler) to compete. To start participating in Trials, it is mandatory for a dog to have an AAC Dog ID card #. This Dog ID# (Or a Junior Handler#) is the key used to register in any Trial for statistics to be complied.  
  • UPCOMING EVENTS: Find Trials offered anywhere in the Country. These are listed in Upcoming Events. To register in these Trials, participants must use the links provided to those Clubs' events.  
  • RESULTS & STATISTICS View results & statistics of past Trials
**For additional services a person can create their free account (login) to gain access to the Registered Users Website.  It is refferred to as the "My Account" private page.

Once registered, a person has options to Apply for a membership and more. 
Members, Club-member, Judges and AAC representatives must use their "My Account" page  to gain access to the confidential information and functionalities specific to their roles in the AAC

Personalized "My Account" private page:

  • AAC Memberswill find Information "For Members Only" librairies such as Bylaws, Official On Course Newsletters, printable Rulebook, policies and procedures, etc.
  • AAC Clubs-Hostswill find Trial Hosting Application information, host responsibilities, check on current Suspensions, etc.
  • AAC Judgeswill access Judges Handbook, tools/templates for preparing for a trial, etc..
** Until all functionalities are fully integrated, the website continues to link back to the legacy website pages.

Oct 3rd Update (Final Update)

REMEMBER

If you are a Member, Club or Judge, logging into your account offers many privileged accesses not offered otherwise.  Hpwever, a few of these have been made available on the Public pages (See the page Footers) in order for you to easily consult information without logging in. Otherwise, the PUBLIC website is thought to be mainly for non-members, to find Trials, Results, Register a dog  or a Junior Handler to compete, etc.

 

Sept 29th Update

Major changes to website map almost completed. Please submit any suggestions, issues to itadmin@aac.ca 

 

Sept 26th Update

With the Website being out of service due to the Ottawa Tornado from the 21st to 24th, there has been some delays. Most recent changes have moved Elections info and Clubs Services in the bottom page menu, unless signed on to one's account.

Sept 18th Update

Forms issue where they were duplicated, has now been resolved. 

UPCOMING EVENTS includes the Election information.

UPCOMING EVENTS link to REGIONALS now show Approved Bids and Status during Evaluation for each Region. 

 

Sept 14th Update

New pictures have made their way to various pages. Changes made to Find a Club and Find a Judge functionaities to facilitate for Public. 

Rulebook access now provides Electronic log of changes as well as TABS by Effective date - etc.

Provider has not yet repaired the duplication of Forms. 

 

Sept 13th Update:

Forms continue to appear multiple times, but do work. Changes to English Website have continued. The French website will be addressed once the English one has stabilized following any feedback over the next week. 


Sept11th UPDATE:

ALL FORMS have been restored however may present duplicated. We appreciate your patience while this situation is addressed.

Sept 9th UPDATE:

ALL FORMS have been rendered unusable on the AAC website for the moment and should be re-established within 24-48 hours. IF needed, please contact itadmin@aac.ca to receive a required FORM for emergencies.

*** No emails being sent out to advise of this following complaints AAC sending out too many emails. (And because unless a person requires a given Form, no other issue should appear)


Sept 7th: PLEASE NOTE

The IT administrator has begun making changes to the Website's English menus. This is being done in an effort to improve access to information and to reduce future problems due to duplicated information that have created maintenance issues. To accomplish this, several groupings will change over the next few days.  

Please do not hesitate to email itadmin@aac.ca with any questions, issues or suggestions or if you are unable to find anything specific.
